Benedict A. Coenen, 82, a resident of North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc, formerly of Two Rivers, died Wednesday afternoon, April 25, 1990, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Paul Schumacher will officiate with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
He was born June 19, 1907, at Rudolph, Wisconsin, son of the late Theodore and Anna VanDenWildenberg Coenen. He married the former Gladys T. Panure on January 28, 1929, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death in 1989. He was employed at Mirro Foley for 40 years, retiring in 1972. He was a member of Mirro Retirement Club and the Men of Holy Redeemer.
Survivors include six sons and daughter-in-law, Emmett and Ruth of Two Rivers. Kenneth and Jean of Two Rivers. Wesley and Winifred of Two Rivers, Francis and Ruth of Sheboygan, Raymond and Elaine of Two Rivers, Dale and Gail of Mishicot; three daughters and sons-in-law, Doris and Donald Koch, Sandra and Jerome Schubring, Judi and William Bodwin, all of Two Rivers. four brothers and sisters-in-law, Simon and Angela Coenen of Rudolph, Wisconsin, Damion and Loretta Coenen of Auburndale, Wisconsin. Lambert and Agnes Coenen of Little Chute, Joseph and Catherine of Milwaukee; a sister, Mary Strean of Little Chute; 44 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren He was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine, four grandchildren, a son-in-law, a sister and a brother.
Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m.
