Frank McLaurin Amick, age 77, of Spartanburg, SC, died at 1:25 am, Saturday, June 8, 1974, in Doctors Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

A native of Lexington County, SC; son of the late James Henry Pinckney Amick (1869–1948) and Cora Hedgepath Amick (1877–1947); husband of Dallie Presley Amick and first married to the late Nannie Jackson Amick (1898–1945).

Retired after 47 years as track supervisor with Southern Railroad; member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Bethelship Sunday School class, Masonic Lodge No 70, Hejaz Shrine Temple, International Retires Club Unit 121, Huntington Hills Country Club.

Other supervisors include daughters, Frances Amick Cunningham (1920-2012), Annice Marguerite Amick (1924–1999), and Lucille Amick Powell (1928–2017); sons, Cecil McLauren Amick (1918–1976) and James Henry Amick (1930–1986); sisters, Janie Louise Amick White (1901–1984), Marie Amick Wingate (1904-1982), and Reba Amick Morrow (1909–1995); brothers, Robert Roy Amick (1903–1990), Lewis Taylor "Buck" Amick (1911–1981) and Gilbert LeGette Amick (1914–2001).

Also predeceased by a daughter, Marie Amick Corbin (1938-1968); sister, Marguerite P. Amick Elliott (1907–1938); and a brother, William Ausburn Amick (1898-1973).

Services at 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 9, 1974, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel by Dr. Francis Cunningham and Rev. Danny Bragdon; burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
