Retired in 1950 as foreman of the boiler room at Delco-Remy.

He was a 25 year member of the Fellowship Masonic Lodge and he also belonged to the Anderson chapter of Royal and Accepted Masons, Anderson Chapter No. 62, Anderson Council, R and SM, Anderson Commandary and Knights Templar.

He was a veteran of WWI.

Services held at the First Evangelical Church in Anderson by the Rev. Max Morgan, pastor.
