Shirley N. Deubler, 79, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2014.

She was born October 21, 1934 in Colorado to Melvin A. and Edna Fay Summers Oberto. She graduated from high school in Rifle, Colorado.

She married J. Gerald "Jerry" Deubler on September 21, 1961. They were married just over fifty-one years.

Shirley worked as a bookkeeper for the city of Grand Junction, Colorado.

She loved decorating cakes for those she loved. She dedicated and enjoyed the countless hours she spent at the Hogle Zoo as a docent. She enjoyed spending time at Lake Powell on the houseboat, camping, and four wheeling.

Jerry and Shirley looked forward to being snowbirds in Arizona each year. She enjoyed reading the newspaper every morning and was a voracious reader.

She was a crafter and enjoyed doing beading, wire-wrapping, crocheting, and anything crafty. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandkids and would have done anything for them.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; sons, Melvin, Dayton, Montana; and Kevin, Woods Cross; and three grandchildren, Amber Brandon, and Tracee. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Susie.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Boulevard, Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment: Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Boulevard.
