Raymond J. Bennin, of N2496 Irish Road, Chilton, died Sunday, December 29, at Calumet Memorial Hospital.
He was born November 4, 1907, in St. Nazianz, a son of August and Clara Luelloff Bennin. Mr. Bennin was a graduate of Platte State Teachers College.
His marriage to Genevieve Schardt took place June 6, 1941. She died January 22, 1982.
Since 1961, he was the Rawleigh dealer in the Calumet County area. Mr. Bennin farmed in the town of New Holstein and worked at the Lake to Lake plant in Kiel. He also taught at Forest Junction.
He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg and the Holy Name Society. He was a former union steward at Lake to Lake Company.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Dennis (Barbara) Boll, Chilton; four sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Doris Bennin of Chilton, Dick and Alicia Bennin of Douglas, Wyoming; Ron and Donna Bennin of Sherwood; James Bennin of Appleton; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Josephine) Stripe of Sheboygan Falls, and Mrs. Ambrose (Alice) Berenz of Fond du Lac; two brothers, Jerome Bennin of Gillett, and Gus Bennin of Soap Lake, Washington; and 16 grandchildren. One sister, three brothers and a granddaughter preceded him in death.
The funeral Mass was Thursday morning at St. Charles Catholic Church in Charlesburg. The Rev. David Christel, pastor officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
