THATCHER, BRENDA BRACKNEY, beloved mother & devoted friend, went home to be with her Lord & Savior, Aug. 20, 2004. Born May 22, 1957 in Dallas, Brenda was a 1975 graduate of Sunset High School. An accomplished musician, she attended the University of North Texas, majoring in music, and was a former pianist at Westwood Baptist Church in Irving. She was currently employed with the law firm of Jenkens & Gilchrist. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Malcom & Lura Brackney, as well as her brother, Franklin Brackney. Survivors include her cherished daughter, Rebecca Thatcher; adoring companion, James Harris; close cousins, Judy Morrow & Kayla Nichols and their families; lifelong friends, Vicki Gartin Hill, Leslie Ailes Martin & Cathy Joyce Ryan, affectionately known to Brenda as her YaYa sisters, along with many other relatives and friends. She will be terribly missed by all who knew her, and loved her, and took pride in her. Funeral Service is 3:00 PM, Wed. Aug. 25, 2004 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville. Burial will follow at Laurel Land Cemetery.
