Grace Gatliff was the daughter of Virginia LeForce & John Speed Gatliff born on October 1, 1881 in Willamsburg, KY. Grace had 2 sisters and 6 brothers.

Grace Gatliff married Lorenza Dow Parks on Aug 17, 1900. L.D. was 24 and Grace was 19. One hundred years before her, her Great Grandfather Cornelius Gatliff married Sally Langford on Feb 25, 1800.

Grace's mother passed away on Grace's 18th b-day October 1, 1899 at the age of 49.

Grace was the mother of 12 children 8 of which survived to adulthood. 4 died during childhood they were.

Eva was the 1st born on July 31, 1901 died the same day

Jennie born 2nd in 1902 and died 20 months later in 1904

Naomi born 9th in 1918 died 20 months later in 1920

Bernice born 10th and Lillus (twins) born 11th in 1921 Lillus died 2 days later. Bernice died in 2005.

Grace and L.D. were married for 60 years until he passed away on Dec 22, 1960 at the age of 84.

Grace passed away on April 28, 1969 at the age of 87 in Louisville, KY at Aunt Edith's home.
