Gideon Gee
Yesterday morning, Mr Gideon Gee, one of Mobile's oldest and most respected citizens died at the family home on the south side of Monroe Street, second west of Joachim, after an illness of only a few days. He was 93 years of age and had been in excellent health for one of his years, until less than a week ago.
The deceased had lived a retired life for many years, but in ante bellium days was well known business man here. He was connected with the firms of Newhouse & Co and Moses Treat, and was a man with through business qualifications, honorable and upright in all his dealings. He was a quiet and unassuming man and liked by all who knew him. He leaves one son, Joseph Gee, of Mobile; two daughters, Miss M K GEE, also of Mobile, and Mrs J Mobley, of Tensas AL
