In this book it list John Thompsons sons are , Absalom, Elijah and George W. Thompson and daughter Mixey Thompson Fleming.
States A deed in 1812 shows John Thompson buying 200 acres on the headwaters of the West Harpeth River from Jesse Jones, Jr. of Campbell Co, VA. In his will written forty-seven years later, John Thompson divided his large holdings between his sons and his son-in-law Samuel Fleming, Sr and William Fleming Sr.
John Thompson and his wife Elizabeth are buried on a hill on the north side of the Harpeth Peytonville-Arno Road with members of the Samuel Fleming family buried with them.
