Dorothy J. Gordon, 82, a resident of River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.
She was born on February 28, 1928 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Charles and Martha Kirchen.
Dorothy was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1946.
On June 28, 1947 she married Burton Gordon at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Dorothy was employed at Lapcor Plastics of Manitowoc for 30 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Elks Auxiliary and also the Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband: Burton Gordon, New Holstein; two daughters and sons-in-law: Terry & Gerald Nechodomu, Manitowoc, Pamela & Perry Craney, Mishicot; a daughter-in-law: Sharon Gordon, Two Rivers; eight grandchildren: Shane (Deanna) Nechodomu, Sheila Nechodomu, Jessica, Shannon & Shawn Gordon, Andrew, Rebecca & Donny Staudt; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son: Calvin Gordon and a brother and sister-in-law: Vern & Betty Kirchen.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2010 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
Officiating at the Service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m Sunday, October 31, 2010.
Friends may also call Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
