Daughter of Andrew Boggs 1773-1845 and his first wife Jane Johnston 1754-1821 (her father was married a second time to Sarah "Sally" Talmon Biddle of Philadelphia). Elizabeth was born in Bellefonte, Centre Co., PA but later lived in Saltsburg, and then Springfield, OH where her life is documented in Clark County histories. The graves of Elizabeth and her husband Simon Henry Drum (born Greensburg, PA) were removed from the Columbia Street Cemetery in Springfield, Clark Co., OH to Arlington National Cemetery.
