SARA KUENZEL

Mrs. Sarah Kuenzel, 89, of 1518-22nd St., Two Rivers, widow of Louis Kuenzel, former Washington Street, Two Rivers, grocer, died at home Monday morning.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. John Neuser Officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mrs. Kuenzel, nee Sarah House, was born Sept. 12, 1875, at Nadeau, Mich., daughter of the late Dave and Mary Rouse(sic). She was married Nov. 27, 1906, at Nadeau to Louis Kuenzel. The family moved to Two Rivers in 1918 where Mr. Kuenzel took over the operation of a grocery store on the site of the present Delica-Sea Store after being employed for a short time at Hamilton Mfg. Co., Two Rivers. Mr. Kuenzel preceded her in death nearly 15 years ago. She was a member of the Altar Society of St. Luke parish and a past president of the Columbus Home Assn. Auxiliary.

Survivng are four daughters, Mrs. Henry Werneke, Mrs. Bernard Rhode, Mrs. Raymond Gilbert and Mrs. Arnold Sell, of Manitowoc; a son, Elphege, of Two Rivers; a sister, Mrs. John Dunham, of Menominee, Mich., 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Three sons, three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m.
