Tollie Boy Gainey, Jr, 65, of 520 Branham's Airport Rd., Darlington, died Saturday, November 10, 2001 at a Florence hospital after an illness.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 12, 2001 at 11 AM in Grove Hill Cemetery, conducted by Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 11, 2001 from 5 to 7 PM.
Mr Gainey was born in Darlington County on April 10, 1936, a son of the late Tollie Tim and Toie May Gainey. He retired from Hartsville Oil Mill with over 35 years of service. Mr Gainey was a Jeff Gordan race fan and enjoyed animals and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Gainey of the home, two sons, Timmy Tina)Gainey and Allen (Donna) Gainey, both of Dalington; three daughters, Laurie Gainey and Patricia (Wayne) Rhodes, both of Darlington, and Faye (Terry) Meier of Florence, six brothers, Robert Gainey, James Gainey, Johnny Gainey, Ronnie Gainey, and Pete Gainey, all of Darling, and Raymond Gainey of Effingham; two sisters Ruby Mae Gainey of ???
