Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Kistler-Hardee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Gainey was born in Darlington County, a son of the late Tollie Tim and Toie Mae Morris Gainey. He worked in the automobile industry as an auto body repairman. Mr. Gainey loved his grandchildren and enjoyed yardwork.
Survivors include his wife, Annie L. Gainey of Scranton; a son, Randy Williams of Raleigh, NC; three daughters, Camilla Ann Evans of Hallsboro, NC, Rose McPhearson of Chadburn, NC and Michelle Campbell of Pamplico; a step-daughter, Wendy Lassiter of Scranton; five brothers, James L. (Linda) Gainey, Robert L. (Lorraine) Gainey, Johnny T. Gainey and Pete (Pat) Gainey all of Darlington and Ronnie (Lib) Gainey of Hartsville; two sisters Ruby Mae Gandy of Darlington and Sally (Buddy) Windham of Lamar; and nine grandchildren.
