Guy N. Wynn Jr., 69, of Paige, died Wednesday in Austin. He was born Aug. 27, 1923 in Markham.

Survivors include his wife, Aleene; a son and his wife, Guy N. Wynn III and Rebecca; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Sarah, and Patrick Wynn of Quinton, N.J.; a brother, A.R. Wynn of Plano; and two sisters, Patti Mahler of Orchard and Winona Rolf of Eagle Lake.

Mr. Wynn was graduated from Orchard High School in 1941. He went to Southwest Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos for one semester and then joined the Navy, where he served his country from 1942 to 1946. The next year he went to the University of Houston where he received his bachelor's degree in 1947 and a master's degree in 1949.

He married Aleene Summers in December, 1947. They both taught in the Lamar Consolidated school system in Rosenberg from 1948 to 1978. Mr. Wynn's last position with the district was as principal at George Junior High School.

Mr. Wynn served as a deacon in the First Baptist Church of Rosenberg for many years, and later was a deacon in the First Baptist Church in Giddings.

Pallbearers will be Dan Elkins, David Sorrell, Leon Westfall, Clarence Buck, Harold Pieratt, and Gerald Callon.

Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church in Giddings, with his brother, the Rev. A.R. Wynn of Plano, officiating. The Rev. Dick Lindsay of First Baptist Church in Giddings will assist. Graveside services will be 5 p.m. Sunday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg.

Memorials may be made to the Guy N. Wynn Sr. Scholarship Fund of First Baptist Church in Richmond, in memory of Guy N. Wynn Jr.
