CEDAR RAPIDS
Cherie E. Jacobson, 65, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, in Des Moines General Hospital after a sudden illness. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Turner Chapel East, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Shirley Hoffman will officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include family members, Clarence and Steve Edwards, both of Clearwater, Fla., Scott Edwards of Redfield, Philip Edwards of Des Moines, Jim Jacobson and Jerry Jacobson, both of Des Moines, Lori McKinney of Fort Mill, S.C., and Lisa Wright of Boulder City, Nev.; and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jacobson; and her parents.
Cherie was born Jan. 25, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Harold and Margaret Cherry Kehne. She married James Jacobson on Aug. 21, 1970, in Des Moines. He died in August 1993.
A memorial fund has been established by the family.
