BRIGHTON - Lester A. Ansell, a carpenter of north of Brighton, died unexpectedly this morning at his home. He had been in failing health and under care of a doctor for two years, but had remained fairly active. He was 60.

A native of Green County he was born March 21, 1902, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Ansell. He spent his early life in Carrollton and was married her March 20, 1926 to Letha Fields.

They resided in Carrollton until 1942 when they moved to Brighton area. Mr. Ansell had worked at the carpenter trade for a number of years and also had been employed at Brighton Locker Plant.

He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church, Brighton.

Surviving in addition to his wife are six sons, Lester A. Sidney, and Fred, Brighton; Eugene, Godfrey, and Lawrence and Jimmie at home; a brother, Elmer, Aurora, and four sisters, Mrs. Mary Gressham, Hardin; Mrs. Winnie French, Carlinville; Mrs. Minnie Hillman, Hartford, and Mrs. Elaine Crouch, Rock Island.

The body Is at Warner Funeral Home, Brighton, pending funeral arrangements.
