Andrew Butcher, 73, passed away Friday morning, March 13 at St. Mary's hospital in Winfield. Death was caused from a heart attack. He had lived all his life on the family farm north of Longton with his brother Jacob, and sister Anna. Besides the two above mentioned he leaves a sister, Mary Maloney, of Topeka.
Funeral services were held last Wednesday at the Catholic church in Moline with Father John Ruskela officiating. Interment in the Catholic cemetery at Moline.
Relatives from out of town attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. William Maloney; Mr. And Mrs. Walter Anderson; Mr. and Mrs. Ben Perry and daughter; Mr. and Mrs. E. Anderson, all of Topeka; Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Walters, Charles O. Walters, of ElDorado and Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Walker of Moline.
