MADISON — Margaret E. Starr age 83, of 209 Kennedy Heights Madison, died May 9, 1978 at a local hospital. She is the former Margaret Gazeley and was born Sept. 24, 1894. Mrs. Starr was a member of the Madison Gospel Tabernacle and the Daughters of the Nile. Survivors include a son, Melville (Bud) Johnston of Madison; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Nutter of Anaheim, CA [date of death: January 3, 2008], Mrs. Shirley Reasy of Arora, CO [date of death: February 26, 2012] and Mrs. Jean Pond of Madison [date of death: November 26, 2000], 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul Gazeley of Hemet, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Starr; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Briggs and Mrs. John Schiro. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME 5203 Monona Dr. at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 12. Rev. Warren Heckman will officiate. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Park.
