Conduct Gazeley Funeral, Saturday
Funeral services for Perle Gazeley, 45 years of age, who died Wednesday at his home in Nelson, B.C., will be conducted at the Park Memorial chapel, Saturday afternoon, at 2 o'clock. Burial will follow in Burnsland cemetery under the direction of the Armstrong funeral home. The late Mr. Gazeley was born in Arlington [sic], Wis., and came to Canada in 1908. He homestead a few miles west of Carstairs for a number of years until the outbreak of the Great War, when he enlisted with the 7th Field Ambulance Brigade. At the conclusion of the war, he returned to Calgary, where he was employed as a stockman in the Chrysler Motors and Hammil Motors companies. He was a former member of the B.P.O.E. No. 4. He married Miss Marjorie Houghton in 1929, and for the past year had resided at Nelson. Surviving are his wife, and two sons.
