Mrs. Cook was known as "Ginny", to many children to whom she provided many hours of child care for over 40 years in the Walkertown, Kernersville area. Mrs. Cook and her husband attended Gospel Light Baptist Church for over 50 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Leon Cook; three brothers, Maxwell, Clifford, and Ted Jones; and one grandson, Jason Cook.
Surviving are her two sons, Gary Cook of Tampa, FL, Mike (Annette) Cook of Kernersville; two grandsons, Jarrett Cook and Alex Airman 1st Class USAF Cook; one granddaughter, Sierra Cook; and one brother, Doug Jones of Ararat, VA.
A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown with Dr. Bobby Roberson and Rev. Frank Shumate officiating.
