On August 8, 1942, Pat married the former Adeline Larson in Stephenson, Mich. Adeline preceded him in death on June 7, 2008. Pat proudly served his Country in the United States Army during World War II. Pat was a farmer and also worked at the Stephenson Marketing for 30 years retiring in 1984. He loved nature and spending time in his garden. Baking banana nut and pumpkin bread to bring to church to share with his friends is something Pat enjoyed. He further enjoyed woodworking, playing pool and cards and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Pat was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his son, Jim (Linda) Cappaert of Stephenson, Mich.; seven grandsons: David, Charlie, Jon, Ryan, Pete, Tony and Kevin; 12 great-grandchildren; and brother, John Brown (Alice) Cappaert of Stephenson, Mich. Pat was preceded in death by his sons: Pat and Mike; along with five brothers and sisters.
Family and friends may call at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, Wallace, on Friday, July 18, 2014, after 1 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 3 p.m. with Pastor Cori Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in Mellen Township Cemetery with Military Honors.
