Clara Louise "Mama Lou" Hairston, was called home to her Lord Jesus Christ on November 6, 2005. She was born on August 7, 1912 in Collinsville, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, David Lloyd Hairston. She is survived by two sisters: Wilma Norton of Birmingham, Alabama, and Christine McCurry of Gardendale, Alabama. She is also survived by her two sons: David Hairston and wife, Pat of Rockwall, Texas, and Larry Hairston and wife, Judy of Plano, Texas; daughter, Jane Florence and husband, Dan of Lantana, Texas; 8 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. "Mama Lou" lived a life of devotion to her Lord and her family. She will be remembered by all for her strength, generous spirit and loving heart.
