DEATH SHADOW IN CO. HOME AT CHRISTMASTIDE
Mrs. Mary Haas, wife of Supervisor Joseph Haas of the town of Franklin, died at the family home shortly after noon Saturday, her demise being due to cancer from which she had been a sufferer for two years. The funeral, which was largely attended, was held this morning with services at 9:30 at St. Joseph's Catholic church at Kellnersville. Rev. Rous officiating and burial was at the church cemetery at the village.
Mrs. Haas, who would have been forty-one years old if she had lived until January 15, was born in the town of Franklin, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Linsmeyer and was married twenty-one years ago to Joseph Haas, the family taking up its home north of Cato on a farm.
Besides the husband she is survived by eight children, Edward, Joseph, Clarence, Marie, Agnes, Viola and Leona at home and Mrs. Charles Helfert of this city. Her mother, Mrs. John Linsmeyer of Franklin, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Remeker and Mrs. John Haas, both of Franklin and five brothers, Frank Linsmeyer of Franklin, John and Mike of Cato, Joseph of Kellnersville and Louis of this city.
