Mrs. Evelyn Haas, 69, of Kellnersville, former Taus resident, died unexpectedly Monday morning, December 28, 1987 at her residence. Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Thursday at Saur Funeral home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Francis Reinke and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
The former Evelyn Zahorik was born December 10, 1918 in the Town of Franklin, daughter of the late Frank and Rose Sauer Zahorik. She married Joseph F. Haas on October 27, 1937 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The couple operated a tavern and general store at Taus from 1937 � 1955. Mrs. Haas was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Joseph Church. Her husband preceded her in death on August 1, 1987. On November 1, 1987 she moved to her present home in Kellnersville.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Marvin and Joan Haas of Clarks Mills and Dale Haas of Los Angeles, California; two daughters and a son-in-law, Maxine Haas of New Berlin, Wisconsin and Marlene and Gary Grall of Whitelaw; six grandchildren, Lynn Schneider, Randy and Lori Haas, Tracie Jaeger and Todd and Tara Grall; three great grandchildren, Kristin and Chad Schneider and Justine Jaeger; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Eleanor Shavlik of Two Rivers and one niece, Mrs. Alan (Delores) Halla of Manitowoc. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother, Victor.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday to the time of services. Prayer service 7:30 p.m. Wednesday by Father Reinke and Rosary Society rosary at 8 p.m.
