Mrs. Armentrout was born Sept. 10, 1912, in Rockingham County, and was a daughter of the late D.A. and Virginia Florence Koontz Brock.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Fellowship United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the W.S.C.S. She was also a member of the Fellowship Home Extension Club. She attended Harrisonburg State Teachers College, now James Madison University.
On Aug. 13, 1939, she married Layton O. Armentrout, who preceded her in death Feb. 29, 1980.
She is survived by a daughter, a son, a sister, and four grandchildren.
Pastor Charlene Landes will conduct a graveside service 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lacey Spring Cemetery.
