Many relatives and friends from the twin cities and from out of town attended the funeral Thursday afternoon of Alexander Vance, well known St. Joseph resident whose death occurred on Tuesday.
The rites were held at the residence, 815 Port street, with Rev. Charles W. Lyman, pastor of the First Evangelical church, officiating.
The casket was carried by six nephews,
Carl and Frank Rowe,
Milton and Cyril Rapp,
William F. Brown, of St. Joseph,
and Walter J. Brown, of Chicago,
and burial was in the St. Joseph City cemetery.
Among those who came from other cities to attend the funeral
were a niece, Mrs. Catherine Brennen, of Chicago
and her daughter, Miss Veronica Brennen,
Mr. and Mrs. Walter J. Brown,
Conrad Leisk,
Dr. George S. White
and Dr. P.E. Weimer, all of Chicago.
