Amelia Cavanaugh was born March 13, 1941, the daughter of Clarence and Mabel (Dance Eagle) Cavanaugh, in St. Michael, N.D. She attended school in St. Michael, Fort Totten and Maddock, N.D. She lived in St. Michael and Tokio.
She is survived by sons, Robert Hulst, Bemidji, Murle Richotte, Fort Totten, and Robert Richotte, Tokio; daughters, Tina Hulst and Amelia Garnett, both of Grand Forks, Corrina Hulst, Devils Lake, Marie Richotte, Bemidji, and Lisa Old Rock, Fort Totten; 28 grandchildren; brothers, William and Herman Cap, both of St. Michael; sisters, Rosalie Baer, Tokio, Edna McCaslin, St. Michael, Ida Cavanaugh, Tacoma, Wash., and Rosella Hook, Fort Totten; and her companion, Arthur Martin, Tokio.
She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Richotte; her parents; brothers, Benjamin, Robert and Percy; and sisters, Evelyn and Dora Cavanaugh and Marie Gaking.
Services: July 23, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael.
Burial: St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery (Gilbertson, Devils Lake).
