FRANK CHIZEK

Frank Chizek, 62, of Rt. 2, Cato, died early Monday afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. He had suffered a stroke Saturday evening at the home in
the town of Franklin.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Frank Svatek will officiate and burial will be in the Kellnersville church cemetery.

Mr. Chizek was born July 25, 1891, in the town of Franklin. On Nov. 18, 1913, he married the former Cecelia Cigler, and for many years he followed the mason
trade. In 1924 the couple moved to a farm in Franklin, which they operated until 1942 when it was taken over by a son, Louis. The couple then moved to a nearby home and during their occupancy Mr. Chizek was employed as a carpenter.

He was a former supervisor and treasurer of the town of Franklin for a number of years, clerk of the Kellnersville School Board for many years and at the time of his
death was secretary of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a position he held for 12 years.
He also was a member of the Holy Name Society of the church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joseph M. of Rt. 5, Manitowoc, and Louis on the home farm; four daughters, Mrs. Victor Schenian of Rt. 2, Cato, Mrs. Rudolph Mleziva and Mrs. Edwin Shimon of Rt. 1, Whitelaw, and Miss Kathryn, a medical student at Marquette University at Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Edward Krejcie of Manitowoc; a brother, Joseph of Reedsville; and 10 grandchildren.
