Mr. Patterson was born Sept. 30, 1930, near Stuttgart, the son of Curtis Franklin Patterson and Thelma Baker Patterson. He was a Methodist and a farmer, and a member of Ulm Hunting Club.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Duch.
Survivors are his wife, LaVerne Morris Patterson; two daughters, Valerie Ann Patterson of Stuttgart and Vivian Renee Fisher (Gus) of Little Rock; a sister, Leona Carter Swain of Bay City, Texas; three grandchildren, Dalton, Cassady and Emma; a nephew, Lance Carter; and two nieces, Carol Pyatte and Nancy Duch.
A memorial service, officiated by the Rev. Larry Kelso, will be 2 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church.
