Renzo Pasolini was born in Rimini, Italy, and was a works rider for Aermacchi, Benelli and Harley-Davidson. 1966 - 3rd place in 350cc World Championship, 1968 - 2nd place in 350cc World Championship, 1970 - 3rd place in 350cc World Championship, Six times Italian 250/350cc Champion. On 20th May 1973 at the Italian GP at Monza, fourteen riders in the 250cc crashed at 130mph at the first corner, the Curve Grande, on the first lap, on oil spilled around the circuit by a rider during the earlier 350cc race. The authorities had been told about the danger but insisted the race went ahead. Jarno Saarinen and Renzo Pasolini were killed.
