"Mrs. Christie Collins Dies at Local Hospital-

Mrs. Christie A. Collins, 85, Hopkins, died at 3 p.m. Monday at St. Francis Hospital where she had been a patient for several months.

Mrs. Collins was born January 21, 1873, at Galesburg, Ill., the daughter of the late William Eggers and Mary Ann Houser Eggers. She was married to Eber Collins Oct. 5, 1898, at Hopkins. Mrs. Collins was a member of the Hopkins Baptist Church. She had lived at Hopkins more than 50 years.

Survivors include her husband of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Gifford Bowers, Monrovia, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Harris, New Market, Ia., Mrs. Emma Melvin, Bedford, Ia., and Mrs. Sadie Cook, South Greenfield, Mo.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hopkins Baptist Church. The Rev. Norman Lewis and the Rev. Clyde Cornelius will officiate. Burial will be in the Hopkins Cemetery."
