She was born March 28, 1877, in Illinois, married in 1898 to Walter Harris, who died in 1952. The family home has been on the farm in Mason Township, southeast of New Market.
She had lived in Missouri and Iowa in early years, coming to this vicinity in 1917. She was active with Church of Christ and Order of Eastern Star.
Besides her son Thomas, she is survived by a granddaughter, Mrs Phil Hardee, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs Charles Cook of Lockwood, Mo.
