He was originally buried in the "Old Church Yard" and moved to this spot next to his wife in the newer Bound Brook Cemetery in 1899 according to cemetery records . This plot "East Half 20 H" cost $12.50.

He died of consumption.

He lived in Middle Brook, Bridgewater Twp, Somerset County, NJ. He married Ann Eliza Sebring in 1843.

He was the son of Joanna/Hannah Tunison and Jeptha Mundy. Jeptha was the son of Robert and Isabel Mundy of Middlesex County, NJ. Joanna was the daughter of Cornelius D. Tunison and his second wife Mary Alward.

He was a descendent of Nicholas Mundy who was one of the original settlers of Piscataway, NJ about 1670. (William, Jeptha, Robert, Thomas, Nicholas, Jr., Nicholas, Sr.)

Although he lived until 1871, he is missing from the 1870 Census, and his wife and children are with various other family members. It is not known where he was. However, he died in Pluckemin, NJ where his widowed mother was then living with his sister and brother-in-law.

Buried near him are his sister Ellen Tunison Mundy Smith, brother John Bray Mundy/Monday, his son John H. Mundy, and daughter Hannah M. Mundy.
