Mrs. Runyon was born in Union Township to Jacob and Elizabeth Eick Mitchell. She lived in Clinton for 73 years.
Mrs. Runyon was the manager of the Clinton School cafeteria for 25 years, retiring in 1974.
She had been a foster grandmother at the Hunterdon Developmental Center in Union Township. She was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church.
Her husband, George W. Runyon, died in 1965. A son, William Runyon, died in 1981.
She is survived by two sons, James Runyon and George D. Runyon, both of Clinton; a daughter, Judith Wintermute of Franklin Township; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Her obituary was published in the Hunterdon County Democrat, june 10, 1993.
