Tunis (Tony) Zevenbergen, 75, of 1448 East 27th Street, Tacoma died Tuesday, March 8, 1960 at his home.

He was born in Rotterdam, Holland in 1885, and had lived here for 19 years, coming from Monroe, Washington.

Mr. Zevenbergen was general foreman of the Drydock Shipyards in Holland until 1920, when he came to the United States through Ellis Island with his wife and seven children. Two more children were born in South Dakota where the Zevenbergen's farmed until moving to Monroe, Washington in 1941.

Mr. Zevenbergen returned to his old trade of shipbuilding, and at the time of his retirement was a pressman at Todd Shipyards.

In 1957 he and his wife Maria celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Tacoma.

Mr. Zevenbergen, a member of the Methodist Church, is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Jennie Stroud of Wheeler, Illinois, Mrs. Ann Hollis of Anchorage, Alaska, and Mrs. Sue Ren of Snohomish; six sons Neal, John, Leonard and Peter all of Tacoma, Marion of Seattle and Tony Jr. of Camas; three brothers Arnold of Grinnell, Iowa, Leonard of Harrisburg, Pennyslvania, and Eric of Rotterdam, Holland.

Services for Mr. Zevenbergen will be announced by Mountain View Funeral Home.
