Michael Mochal,68,of 1143 Walnut Street, Springdale, died May 25, 1983,at 8:15 am in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights, PA.

Born June 15, 1912, in Roberson, he was the son of Wasyl and Mary Capiak Mochak. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, and worked for Alcoa in New Kensington. He retired seven years ago.

Mr Mochak was a member of St John's Orthodox Church, Russian Brotherhood Organization Lodge 37, Sportsman Club, and Alcoa 25 Year Club, all of New Kensington; Catholic Sokol of Arnold, VFW Post 1437 of Springdale, and the 24th Infantry Division Association.

He is survived by his widow Alice Borowetz Mochak; a brother Stephen of Springdale Township; and two sisters, Mrs Elkin (Edna) Speedy of Springdale Townshipand Mrs Robert (Ann) Johnson of Medina, Ohio.

Friends will be received at the Wesley Stark Funeral Home, Springdale, PA, where a burial service will be conducted on Saturday followed by a service in St John's Church by his pastor Rev Paul R Ziaatyk. Burial will be in Deer Creek Cemetery, Cheswick, PA.
