Born to Robert Bodily Sr. and Jane Pittam. Married Matilda Roberts in 1875. Father to 13 children. Mormon Pioneer.

He was baptized in South Africa, came to Utah, and filled a mission to the Northwestern States in 1885-1888. He was ordained a High Priest Dec. 28, 1888, by Geo. C.
