Dean Soots, 50, of Parkview Place, South Bend, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2003, in his residence. Dean was born on April 3, 1953, in Indianapolis, IN, to Albert L. and Janet F. (Smith) Soots. He attended and graduated from Ball State University, Muncie, IN, in 1975, and then moved to the South Bend area. On July 30, 1983, in South Bend, he married Lorraine Arnett, who survives. Mr. Soots is also survived by a son, Trevor Dean Soots, of South Bend; and his parents, Albert L. and Janet F. Soots of Indianapolis. Dean worked for Lesea Productions, where he was the marketing director. He was a member of the Sigma Pi Fraternity at Ball State. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 31 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend. Funeral services for Dean will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 1 in the funeral home with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
