Retired Railroad Man Succumbs to Stroke
E. Frederick Baer, pensioned Reading Company employee, succumbed last evening following a heart attack at his home, 939 Mulberry Street. He was 73, a native of this city, son of the late Christian and Mary (Eisenberger) Baer. A certificate of natural death caused by a heart attack was issued by Dr. Paul D. Good, coroner.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church; Commandery 247, Knights of Malta; P. & R. Relief Association, Rainbow Fire Company and it's relief association, and the Fireman's Relief Association.
Surviving are his widow, Elizabeth A. (Schaefer) Baer; these children: Mrs. Harvey Snyder, this city; Mrs. George Hoyer, Fleetwood; Irvin and Harvey Baer, this city; John Baer, Friedensburg; Warren W. Baer, Hagerstown, Md., and George Baer, Harrisburg; 14 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; one brother, John Baer, of this city.
Funeral on Friday at 2 p. m. from the Cramp Funeral Home, where services will be conducted by the Rev. Robert H. Ischinger. Interment in St.John's German Lutheran Cemetery.
