Mrs. Margaret Seacat, wife of Philip S. Seacat, passed away Friday morning at 12:30 o'clock at her home in the Wiseman Addition, west of Corydon. Death was caused by an illness of a complication of diseases.

Mrs. Seacat was 78 years old. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Gibbs Briscoe and was born and reared in this county. She was the last surviving member of a family of 12 children.

Mrs. Seacat was a member of the Methodist Church and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. The remains rested at Beanblossom's Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held last Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Corydon Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. William Kaetzel, pastor. Mrs. Will J. Bulleit presided at the organ. Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The pallbearers were Robert Blue, Charles E. Evans, William H. Keller, John Mauck, Wayne Bye and Jacque Glenn.

Surviving are her husband, Philip S. Seacat; one daughter, Mrs. G.L.(Ruth)Auxier, and four granddaughters, Mrs. Robert Blue of Anderson, Mrs. Charles E. Evans, Mrs. William H. Keller, Mrs. John Mauck of Corydon, and six great-grandchildren.
