Lefa/Leafy was the daughter of Ebenezer and Mary (Mansfield) Fitts. She married Dexter Alden on 23 March 1820 at Dudley, Massachusetts. They had 3 children who lived to adulthood: Samuel E., George C., and Loretta R. After Dexter's death on 13 July 1870, Leafy relocated to Weston, Pottawattamie County, Iowa, to live with her daughter Loretta Alden Page. She passed away there and she was laid to rest beside her husband in Webster, Massachusetts.
