Mrs. Lydia M. Nelson, age 78, of 1405 S. 31st St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday, June 11, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 1996, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and 10 .m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Roman Zbieranski with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. She was born November 9, 1917, in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., daughter of the late John and Marie Vodicka Baumann. She married Earl S. Nelson December 22, 1996. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. Survivors include seven children, Darlene (Romy) Braun, Robert (Linda) Nelson, Russell (Darla) Nelson, Sharon (Gary) Stryhn, Randall (Karen) Nelson, Ricky (Linda) Nelson, Coralie (Kelly) La Rocque, all of Manitowoc; four brothers, Tony (Irene) Baumann, John Baumann, both of Manitowoc, Joe Baumann, Colorado, Don Baumann, California; four sisters, Mary Zywicke, Manitowoc, Johanna Herman, Sheboygan, Betty Duzeski, Manitowoc, Ann (John) Rizzo, New Mexico; 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters. Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral home on Friday from 5-8 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. led by Father Roman.
