The Farquar home was located on E. High Street in Corydon, and was torn down for the construction of the old Corydon Grade School in 1914. "Aunt Kitty" lived in this home for a number of years with her brother, Captain William "Uncle Billy" Farquar, a carpenter and coffin maker. At the time of her death in 1902, Kitty Farquar was living with her sister, Agnes Mary Jordan, at the Jordan home on North Market Street (now Capitol Avenue). During her entire life she was an active member of the Methodist Church, having joined in 1836.
