Mrs. Elizabeth Mary Angove Hooper, a native of Grass Valley, but who had spent many years living in San Francisco where her late husband was a humane officer, died at 234 Colfax avenue at 2 o'clock yesterday morning, following several months of illness.
Mrs. Hooper had been ill and confined to bed since she was brought to Grass Valley about two months ago and previous to that time had been in ill health in San Francisco. She was born here January 12, 1879 and spent her early years in Grass Valley. She will be remembered by many present day Grass Valleyans as a school girl.

In the year of 1914 she served at Worthy Matron of Aurora chapter No. 40, Order of Eastern Star of Grass Valley.
The late Mrs. Hooper was a niece of Jerry Angove, Grass Valley; aunt of Melborne Angove, Tacoma, Washington; Camille Cornish, Grass Valley; Virgil Angove, Grass Valley; Cecil Angove, United States Army in France; Norman Angove, Grass Valley and Mrs. Alvida Jones, Carmichael.
Funeral services have been arranged for Saturday, December 2 at 2 p.m. and will be held at the chapel of the Hooper-Weaver Mortuary on South Church street. Rev. Mark Pike will be the attending clergyman. Burial will be made at the Masonic Cemetery.
