Cornelia "Connie" Smith, 65, of Mapleton passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014, at her home after battling MSA for numerous years.
She was born Nov. 20, 1948, in Enterprise, Ala., to David H. Whitttington and Norma L. (Boles) Dundon. She married the love of her life, Richard T. Smith, on Oct. 27, 1967, in Orlando Fla. He survives.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; son, Tommy Smith; granddaughter, Ashton Johnson; and three brothers, Randy Whittington, Terry Whittington and Keith Allen Whittington.
Connie is survived by her two daughters, Tonya (Andy) Johnson and Terri Smith; and five brothers and sisters, Gene Whittington, Linda Winter, Kenny Whittington, Marty Dundon and Tara Simmons.
She was best known for her cooking and her love for her family.

Interment will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery.
