(1875 - 1954)

Mrs. Helen Siewert, 78, of Newton, mother of 11 children, died Saturday at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sheboygan. Since the death of her husband, Wlady, she had been residing with her children.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Leschke Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 a.m. at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Newton. The Rev. L.L. Lisowski will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

She was born Helen Bonk in Newton in 1875 and in 1894 was married to Wlady Siewert. They located on a farm in Newton. Her husband died 13 years ago. She was a member of the Rosary Society and St. Agnes Society of St. Casimir Parish.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Arnold Zurheide and Mrs. Frederick Stocks of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Gordon Pippert of Cleveland; eight sons, John and Edward of Manitowoc, Walter of Custer, S.D., Frank of Ellensburg, Wash., Joseph of Milwaukee, Ladd of Delafield, Wis., Peter of Cleveland and Raymond of Newton; four sisters, Mrs. John Siewert and Mrs. Albert Kowalsky of Two Rivers, Mrs. Anton Brusky of Kewaunee and Mrs. Alex Stanzel of Manitowoc; 28 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the funeral home, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday.
