Blanche A.Cecrle Jenkins of 3633 Mechanic Street, Interlaken passed away at the Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Waterloo on Friday, April 18, 2003 at the age of 90. Born on November 14, 1912 in Haddam, Kansas, Blanche was the daughter of Anton R. and Frances Kolars Cecrle. She came to Interlaken in 1944 and was an active member of the Interlaken American Legion Post #462 Auxiliary and the South Seneca Star Chapter #200 Order of the Eastern Star in Interlaken. Blanche was the devoted wife of Ora D. Jenkins for 70 years before he passed away on October 28, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her son, Marvin L. Jenkins in 1978. Blanche is survived by a daughter, Yvonne J. Ashcraft of Trumansburg; a brother, Frank Cecrle of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Mildred Stewart of Junction City Kansas; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Interlaken American Legion on April 24, 2003.
