Found in The State 22 February 1924: Mrs. A. C. Jackson, beloved Columbia woman, 71 years of age, died at her residence, 1420 Lady street, yesterday afternoon at 12:15 o'clock. Funeral services will be conducted from the St. John's Episcopal church, Shandon, this afternoon at 4 o'clock. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery. Before her marriage Mrs. Jackson was Miss Pearson, the daughter of the late John Henderson Pearson, and was the granddaughter of Andrew Muir Wallace, one of Columbia'a pioneer merchants and bankers. She was the mother of the late Dibert Jackson, prominent young attorney of the Capital City, who died about four years ago. Her husband, the late A. C. Jackson, was a well known traveling salesman for some of the oldest and large shoe manufacturers in the country. Mrs. Jackson was highly esteemed and was active both in the social and religious life of Columbia. She was a woman with a large circle of friends all over the state. Her death brings to a close a life devoted to duty and to her family. Mrs. Jackson is survived by one brother, John H. Pearson of Easton, Pa. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dilbert Jackson; a niece, Mrs. W. T. Reckling of Columbia; a stepdaughter, Mrs. T. J. Lipscomb of New Orleans, and the following nephews: F. W. Lee, W. F. Lee and John Pearson Lee, all of Columbia.
