Death of Youth Due to Lockjaw

Herschel Harden, a young man residing five miles south of Center Point, died at the home late yesterday afternoon of lockjaw said to have been due to infection from an
ulcered tooth.
The young man was a son of Nathan Harden, well known farmer living in the Eel river bottoms south of Center Point. The illness Which caused his death lasted but a few
days, infection from a bad tooth aid to have caused
tetanus. This is the first death in Clay county due to lockjaw in a number of years. The deceased was 21 years, nine months and twelve days old. He is survived by the parents, seven sisters and two brothers as follows:
Mrs. George Schlie, Mrs. Emery Moon, Misses Halcie, Pauline, Doris and Sylvia and William and Paul
Harden. Funeral services will he held at
l0 o ’clock Wednesday morning at the Mt. Carmel church, interment Cole Cemetery.
